HUSKER FOOTBALL POSTGAME COMMENTS – HEAD COACH MATT RHULE:
RHULE – TECH DID NOT BACK DOWN; HAPPY WITH BATTLE:
Matt Rhule, Nebraska Football head coach, gave his initial thoughts after winning their second game of the season over Louisiana Tech on Saturday…
The Huskers have their biggest test to date, hosting No. 2 Michigan in Memorial Stadium for a 2:30 PM kickoff on Saturday from Lincoln.
RHULE – HAARBERG LOOKED GOOD; STILL HEALTHY:
Nebraska went with backup quarterback Heinrich Haarberg for the second straight game, resulting in the second consecutive win for the Huskers. Head Coach Matt Rhule said the Kearney Catholic alum is still healthy despite being pulled late in the contest…
The Huskers are now 2-0 with Haarberg leading the offense, as the Big Red rushed for over 300 yards as a team against the Bulldogs.
RHULE – GRANT HAD A GOOD DAY; DID THE LITTLE THINGS:
Matt Rhule was very pleased with running back Anthony Grant after his performance on Saturday against Louisiana Tech…
Grant ran for over 100 rushing yards and had a score to aid the Big Red to their 28-14 win at home. Grant is also likely the starter for the remainder of the season due to season ending injuries to Gabe Ervin and Rahmir Johnson.
HUSKER FOOTBALL POSTGAME COMMENTS – QUARTERBACK HEINRICH HAARBERG:
HAARBERG – OFFENSE MADE ADJUSTMENTS TO PULL AWAY:
Huskers quarterback Heinrich Haarberg was once again efficient in a Nebraska win Saturday, giving the Huskers a solid performance for a 28-14 win over Louisiana Tech. The reserve quarterback added that he was happy with the adjustments the team made to make a difference in the second half…
Haarberg led the way on the ground with over 150 yards rushing and a score, while also throwing a touchdown pass to Thomas Fidone.
HAARBERG – SIMS MAY RETURN; CONTINUED TO PREPARE AS STARTER:
Nebraska quarterback Heinrich Haarberg has been playing well with his opportunity since incumbent Jeff Sims injured his ankle at Colorado. Haarberg stated after the LA Tech win that he continues to seize the moment…
The Kearney Catholic alum is now 2-0 in his two game stretch with nearly 300 yards rushing by the quarterback in those games.
HAARBERG – PASS GAME HAS TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP:
Nebraska quarterback Heinrich Haarberg stated in the postgame after the Huskers 28-14 win over LA Tech that the passing game must continue to get better…
The Huskers face their toughest test on Saturday hosting No. 2 Michigan.

UNK hosts Washburn (1-3) next Saturday for Homecoming.
HASTINGS COLLEGE FALLS AT BRIAR CLIFF:
The Hastings College football team had been the comeback kids in 2023 but due to penalties and turnovers, Briar Cliff erased a 10 point deficit to knock off the Broncos 19-16 on Saturday night.

A season-high six teams received first-place votes, the most since the 2016 preseason poll. Georgia is still where it started at No. 1 in the AP Top 25, but it is down to 55 first-place votes out of a possible 63.
