KEARNEY — Multiple subpoenas have been filed in the case of a Kearney man charged with several counts of incest and sexual assault related to incidents that date back to 2006-2008.
The 53-year-old Kearney man has been charged with four counts of first-degree sexual assault, each Class 2 felony and four counts of incest, each a Class 3 felony.
Central Nebraska Today does not generally name victims of sexual assault or incest. The man’s name is being withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
The subpoenas were issued to two adults and two children who are all listed as witnesses in the case.
No future court date has been listed, but a pre-trial hearing was set to be held on July 28.
His bail was set at ten percent of $100,000, he is to have no contact with the two alleged victims or be at their place of residence and to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
According to the complaint filed in Buffalo County Court, the 53-year-old allegedly subjected a juvenile between 12 and 16 years old to sexual penetration between March 2006 and March 2008, January 2007 and November 2007, December 2007 and May 2008 and July 2008.
The incest charges stem from several incidents with a separate juvenile victim including April 2006 and March 2008, January 2007 and November 2007, May 2008 and July 2008 and December 2007.
