Kearney Little League is now one of three teams remaining in the Little League World Series Midwest Regional. Kearney defeated Iowa (Eldridge) 5-0 this morning, eliminating Iowa in the bracket.
Kearney has tomorrow off, while the winners bracket final between North Dakota (Fargo) and South Dakota (Sioux Falls) is played. Kearney will play Thursday against the South Dakota/North Dakota loser. The winner will play in the championship on Friday. Friday’s winner will represent the Midwest Region at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Nebraska has been represented twice in the LLWS, with Kearney in 2012 and Hastings in 2021 representing the Cornhusker state.
