LEXINGTON — Gratitude and hope for Lexington’s future intensified upon today’s announcement from Lexington Community Foundation expanding its Planned Giving Society beyond five million dollars. This has been made possible thanks to the PGS’s second largest gift being received.
Among the now 16 known and anonymous LCF Planning Giving Society Members, a total of $6.2 million has been endowed to the Foundation. These funds were given to expand upon the greatness of all that Lexington possesses. Each donor believes in Lexington and the future of its people, spaces and community.
These gifts are the legacy that these donors will leave to Lexington.
About LCF’s Planned Giving Society
In 2021, LCF launched a campaign that would significantly increase the LCF endowment and provide the
community with sustainable fundraising for years to come. The campaign is designed to increase funds the Foundation has available to fulfill its mission.
Such funds are identified as “unrestricted endowed” assets and can be used and distributed at the discretion of the LCF Board of Directors. A successful campaign will provide a permanent source of funding for opportunities to improve the quality of life, strengthen the sense of community and benefit future generations in the Lexington community.
