Kearney, Nebraska – The Hastings Tigers beat the Kearney Bearcats by a score of 13 to 4 on Tuesday, September 26 at Patriot Park. Hastings took the lead 4 times in the game, scoring in the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th innings. Kearney battled back to tie the game three times, scoring in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings before surrendering 9 runs in the top of the 7th.
Sophomore, Brooke Ochsner, pitched a complete game for Hastings allowing 4 runs on 10 hits. Lauren Schmeits pitched for Kearney. Avery Longshore led the team with 2 hits. Ava Magnani, Oliva Wright, Longshore and Mackenzie Brennan each drove in a run.
Hastings improved to 19-7 on the season. They finish their regular season at Bennington on Saturday, September 30.

Pitching for the Bearcats were Rachel Grifiths, Zailey Wilson and Joselyn Strickland. Strickland led the team in hits with 2. Wilson, Kinleigh Coffman, Siena Bonk and Strickland each drove in one run.
Hastings JV ended their season with a 3-10 record this fall.
Kearney JV fell to 12-14 on the season. They play Grand Island at home at 5:00 on Wednesday, September 27 at Patriot park.
