GRAND ISLAND – A giant inflatable Ronald McDonald is curbside on the west side of the McDonald’s Restaurant at 2209 S. Locust St. that had its grand opening Nov. 7.
The restaurant opened Nov. 5. It has an inside dining area as well as two drive-through lanes.
A red, white, and yellow balloon display formed a rainbow arch over the entrance to the restaurant Nov. 7.
The restaurant is located southeast of the intersection of South Locust Street and Stolley Park Road and is the third McDonald’s Restaurant in Grand Island.
A sign in front of McDonald’s says it is hiring for crew employees at $15.50 per hour and managers at $18.50 per hour.

Special events are planned at the restaurant for the next several days:
Nov. 8: Meet Grimace, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Nov. 9: $1.99 Happy Meals, limit 5.
Nov. 10: Free coffee with any purchase from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Nov. 11: Giving Tuesday. 20 percent of digital sales from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be donated to a local charity.
Nov. 12: Free medium fries with any purchase from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Nov. 13: Coloring contest from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be raffles and prizes.
