HUSKER FOOTBALL POSTGAME COMMENTS – MATT RHULE:
RHULE – INITIAL MICHIGAN THOUGHTS:
Nebraska Football Head Coach Matt Rhule spoke at his postgame press conference following the loss to Michigan, giving his initial thoughts on a terrific Wolverine squad…
Nebraska was never in the contest, trailed by two scores in the first quarter while Michigan pulled their starters in the second half.
RHULE – GROWING DAY FOR HAARBERG:
Nebraska Football head coach Matt Rhule added in his postgame comments following the home loss to Michigan that it was a day of growing pains for quarterback Heinrich Haarberg…
The Kearney Catholic alum went 14 of 25 passing with 199 yards and an interception and was unusually quiet in the run game, given only nine carries for -2 yards.
RHULE – NEBRASKA NOT THE SAME LEVEL AS WOLVERINES:
Matt Rhule, Nebraska Football head coach, spoke at his postgame report that the Huskers loss to Michigan was not due to a lack of intensity on the field…
Rhule continued that the team will continue to get better and said the upcoming Illinois matchup on Friday is pivotal to the season.
HUSKER FOOTBALL POSTGAME COMMENTS – HEINRICH HAARBERG:
HAARBERG – MICHIGAN LIMITED RUNNING GAME:
Nebraska quarterback Heinrich Haarberg was asked what limited the run game, and the Kearney native added in his postgame thoughts partially to blame was early miscues…
The Kearney Catholic alum had negative rushing yardage on the day against the Wolverines defense who limited the Huskers to 106 rushing yards Saturday – 74 of them coming on one run late in the fourth quarter.
HAARBERG – NEED TO LEARN TO TRUST OFFENSIVE LINE:
Husker quarterback Heinrich Haarberg stated in his postgame presser following the loss to Michigan that the disappointing performance is a big step in his learning curve…
The quarterback completed over fifty percent of his passes but did not break 200 yards of total offense, and did not have a hand in scoring a touchdown against the No. 2 team in the country.
HAARBERG – LEARNING FROM FIRST LOSS:
The Nebraska football team is now 2-3 on the year, and following the loss to Michigan Saturday starting quarterback Heinrich Haarberg spoke on what can be learned from the defeat…
The Huskers travel to Illinois on a shortened week, facing the Fighting Illini on Friday night.
