MINDEN — Give Big Minden is back for a second year on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, bringing the community together for a 24-hour day of giving to support local nonprofits and the programs that strengthen Kearney County. Early giving opens on December 2nd at givebigminden.org.

Give Big Minden was created to celebrate generosity, highlight the incredible organizations serving our neighbors, and encourage local giving that stays right here at home. Last year’s event helped nonprofits expand services, support families and meet essential community needs. Organizers hope to build on that momentum in 2025.

This year’s participating nonprofits include:

Bethany Home, Faith In Action, Harold Warp Pioneer Village, Jensen Memorial Library, Kearney County Health Services Medical Fund, Kearney County Historical Society, Minden Legacy Fund, Minden Opera House, Minden Schools Foundation, Minden Senior Center, Paws Up Kearney County and The Closet Thrift Store & Food Pantry

More than a fundraising event, Give Big Minden is a collaboration among local nonprofits, community partners, and residents who want to make a difference. Participating organizations represent a wide range of missions, including health services, food assistance, senior support, education and community development.

Community members can get involved by:
• Donating at givebigminden.org starting December 2
• Following the Give Big Minden Facebook page for updates and nonprofit stories
• Sharing posts to help spread the word
• Encouraging friends and family to participate on December 12

All gifts—large or small—help strengthen local programs and ensure nonprofits can continue providing vital services throughout the year.
