KEARNEY — Sare Frias, Facilitator at Community Connections, was honored by the Buffalo County Community Partners Board of Directors with the Above and Beyond Volunteer Award.

This award is presented to Sara Frias for her extraordinary commitment and leadership of Community Connections. Sara embodies this award through her humble ways of serving others and placing value on the need to share resources to connect people and programs. We recognize Sara because her quiet leadership happens without the need for recognition. She makes a difference in the lives of people in central Nebraska. This work is above and beyond her daily work; she makes it a priority because she has vision and the passion to ensure we have a strong backbone to our communities’ work.
“Sara is the person who sees a problem and immediately starts building a bridge, connecting people, information, and resources to those who need them most. Whether it’s housing, food insecurity, or supporting families through their most difficult moments, she shows up with both expertise and heart.
Kearney is more informed, more connected, and more cared for because of her. She truly deserves this recognition, and I’m so proud to celebrate her!” shared Penny Warford, Nebraska Total Care
