KEARNEY, GRAND ISLAND — Usher Media announced the acquisition of six Central Nebraska radio stations and CentralNebraskaTODAY.com.
This is to announce that a contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of KGFW-AM, KQKY-FM, KRNY-FM, and K241CN-FX, Kearney, NE; KROR-FM, Hastings, NE; and KSYZ-FM, Grand Island, NE from NRG Media, LLC to Usher Media, L.L.C
The seller, NRG Media, LLC, is an lowa-based company headed by Mary Quass. NRG owns more than 30 other radio stations across lowa, Illinois, Nebraska, and Wisconsin.

The buyer, Usher Media, L.L.C., is a Nebraska-based company headed by Alan Usher.

Station’s involved include KRNY-FM (Y102), KQKY-FM (Hits 106), KGFW-AM and it’s translator K241CN-FX in Kearney and KSYZ-FM (107.7 The Island) and KROR-FM (Classic Rock 101.5) in Grand Island plus the operations of the news portal CentralNebraskaTODAY.com.
