GRAND ISLAND – The Greater Grand Island Community Foundation (GGICF) has officially opened its 2025–2026 scholarship application cycle, beginning Dec. 1.

With more than 150 scholarship opportunities available, students pursuing careers in healthcare, business, education, technical trades, and many other fields can apply through one streamlined application.

Last year, GGICF awarded over $324,500 in scholarships to 101 well-deserving students. Opportunities are available for graduating high school seniors, current college students, and non-traditional learners, ensuring that individuals at every stage of their educational journey have access to meaningful financial support.

“Each scholarship represents a community member who believes in our students’ potential,” said Tina Moreno, GGICF Scholarship Coordinator. “We are honored to help open doors, remove financial barriers, and support local learners as they work to build brighter futures for themselves—and for Hall County.”

This year, the Foundation encourages students to begin early and stay mindful of all required materials, including references. The application period will close on Feb.10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Students can learn more and start their application by visiting the GGICF scholarship portal today at www.gicf.org/communities/scholarships. Questions can be directed to GGICF staff at 308-381-7767 or scholarships@gicf.org.
