KEARNEY – The Loper Volleyball team once again remained in the Top Ten of the latest AVCA Coaches rankings, settling at No. 9 for the second consecutive week.
UNK (15-1, 5-1) went 2-0 in sweeps of Fort Hays State and Newman last week. The Lopers received 790 total points and remain the highest rated MIAA team.
Other conference schools include: No. 19 Washburn (10-3) falling from No. 15 and No. 22 Central Oklahoma (14-3) sliding from No. 20.
Central Missouri and Northwest Missouri State each received votes in the Top 25 as well.
Wayne State (NE) remained at the top with the No. 1 overall spot with a 13-1 overall record.
UNK hosts 11-4 Missouri Western State on Friday at the Health & Sports Center, and faces Northwest Missouri State at home Saturday.
