KEARNEY — The case of a Kearney man accused of creating child sexual abuse material was continued to 2026 as further plea negotiations take place.

Dylan Judd, 27, is charged with two counts of possess child pornography, a Class 2A felony; visual depiction/sexual explicit conduct, a Class 3A felony and commit child abuse intentional – no injury, a Class 3A felony.

Judd has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

On Dec. 16, Judd appeared in Buffalo County District Court for a pre-trial hearing, where he requested the matter be continued to allow for further plea negotiations.

The final plea/pre-trial hearing was set for Jan. 30, 2026, at 9 a.m. by Judge John Marsh.

The affidavit supporting continued detention, which details the allegations, has been sealed in this case.

However, the complaint states that Judd is accused of creating and possessing child sexual abuse material between July 25 and Aug. 8. During the same period, he is also charged with child abuse of an eight-year-old minor child.

Judd was arrested and booked into the Buffalo County Jail on Friday, Aug. 8.
