GRAND ISLAND – The Broken Bow girls golf team will compete for their fourth straight Class C Championship next week, as the Indians took the C-4 District Championship at Grand Island’s Indianhead Golf Course by shooting a team total of 344 on Wednesday. 

Broken Bow barely edged out Minden (346), who ended as runner-up. GICC will also earn a state placement, ending in third at 393. Holdrege (401), Kearney Catholic (426), and Gothenburg (449) ended fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively.

Broken Bow ended with four golfers within the Top 12, including senior Camryn Johnson who shot a leading 77. Minden kept pace, with three in the Top Ten, led by runner-up sophomore KayLynn Jorgensen at 78. 

Kearney Catholic’s senior Taylor McGuire ended sixth at 88, while Jordyn Svec was 11th at 92.
