KEARNEY — An East Lawn trailer in Kearney was consumed by a fire during the late morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 5.
Around 11:25 a.m., the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Bourbon St. within East Lawn for the report of a structure fire in progress.
As firefighters arrived on scene, black smoke could be seen billowing from the East Lawn area.
On scene, firefighters arrived with several fire engines and a tanker. The black smoke gave way to a wall of gray as fire hoses were turned on the fire.
The fire appeared to heavily damage the structure after the smoke had mostly cleared.
No information was available on scene if there had been any occupants or potential injuries.
Members of the Kearney Police Department assisted on scene.
