GRAND ISLAND – People have been nominated to serve on the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation/Chamber of Commerce executive committee and board.

Jack Henry was nominated to serve as chairman. Henry is an Aurora native and owner of Indianhead Golf Course, brings expertise in business and manufacturing to the GIAEDC board. Henry is very focused on entrepreneurship and economic growth both in Grand Island and throughout the state. He is an advocate for positive change and the development and support to businesses of all sizes.

Paul McKinney was nominated to serve as vice chairman. McKinney is CFO/COO at Eakes Office Solutions, and is a dedicated advocate for growth in the Grand Island community. He has served on the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce Board for several years and remains actively engaged in efforts that foster opportunity within the community. McKinney also serves on industry boards, including the Independent Suppliers Group (ISG) Board of Directors, where he currently serves as Chairman. His leadership and commitment to strong partnerships with major vendors continue to support Eakes’ growth and positively impact the communities served.

Kyle Overturf was nominated as treasurer. Overturf is a partner at AMGL, PC, and has years of financial expertise and community advocacy. Having previously served in this role for the GIAEDC, Overturf is well-versed in the financial oversight and strategic support. Overturf is skilled in bringing valuable knowledge to audits for government entities, school districts, and non-profits, as well as accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services for small businesses.

Mark Allen was nominated to be executive at large. Allen is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Allen Capital Group, and is a highly respected leader in the Grand Island community. Allen served as the Chamber Board Chair in 2023, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to support local businesses and drive economic growth. Allen brings extensive leadership experience, having served on the many distinguished boards locally and state wide.

Will Armstrong was also nominated to be executive at large. Armstrong, a Grand Island native and financial advisor with Edward Jones, has been a dedicated member of the Grand Island community for many years. Armstrong previously served on both of the boards- holding the Board Chairman spot in 2021 and 2022 at GIAEDC. Throughout his service, he has exemplified a steadfast commitment to fostering economic growth, championing local businesses, and expanding opportunities for the region.

Justin Pfenning was nominated to be executive at large. Pfenning is affiliated with Dramco Tool Company, Inc. and is a dedicated advocate for Grand Island. Pfenning served as the 2024 Board Chair for the Grand Island Chamber and has been a steadfast supporter of local growth and development. He actively contributes to workforce initiatives as a member of the Career Pathways advisory committee and advisory boards for Central Community College’s Hastings and Milford campuses.
