GRAND ISLAND – Willow Rising invites the community to an evening of celebration and purpose at the 7th annual Mardi Gras Gala on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Boulder Flats (4058 Enterprise Ave).
The event offers meaningful opportunities to support healing, safety, and the life-changing services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and will feature dinner, Music Bingo with Laurie from GI Trivia, and live and silent auctions. Check-in begins at 5 p.m.
The Mardi Gras Gala is Willow Rising’s largest fundraising event of the year, bringing together community members, businesses, and advocates to ensure survivors in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick counties have access to emergency safe shelter, advocacy, peer support, and prevention education.
Guests will enjoy an engaging evening that includes silent and live auctions, a dessert sale, and lively entertainment by GI Trivia with Music Bingo. A special “Mission Moment” will highlight the impact of Willow Rising’s programs and the essential role community support plays in helping survivors rebuild their lives.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers,” said Katy Vila De Rosa, community engagement director at Willow Rising. “This event is more than a celebration – it’s a powerful reminder that healing happens when a community stands together.”
Tickets, tables, and Empowerment Ally sponsorships are available online. Community members and businesses interested in donating auction items or volunteering are encouraged to contact Willow Rising for more information.
Willow Rising is dedicated to creating new beginnings for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence by proving safety, support, education, and survivor empowerment.
