GRAND ISLAND – Grand Island police arrested Nevida Lopez Hernandez at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 for a domestic assault incident on West Louise St.
Lopez Hernandez, 39, was arrested for felony domestic violence assault causing bodily injury with a dangerous instrument, felony using a deadly weapon to commit a felony and misdemeanor negligent child abuse.
According to Police Division Chief Dean Elliott, Lopez Hernandez and the 51-old-male victim were not married but had a child, who was present when the incident occurred. Lopez Hernandez had a knife that caused a puncture wound on the victim’s chest and cut his shirt.
