HASTINGS — A Hastings man was killed as the result of a single vehicle accident in southern Adams County during the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Around 9 a.m., James Anderson, Sr., was driving a Ford F-150 pickup that was traveling on Showboat Blvd. when it left the roadway and entered the ditch. The vehicle traveled down the embankment and landed on its side.
Adams County deputies responded to the accident site and were assisted on scene by Lawrence Fire and Rescue and the Nebraska State Patrol.
Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene, the next of kin have been notified.
