KEARNEY — A large law enforcement presence was noted in the area of W. 22nd St. during the morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 26.
Around 8 a.m., Nebraska State Patrol members in tactical gear and armored vehicle were in the 1000 block of W. 22nd St. near the intersection with 12th Ave.
No information was available on scene as to the nature of the activity. A message was left with the Nebraska State Patrol requesting additional information.
The activity comes one day after members of the Kearney Police Department and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Service Unit served a high-risk search warrant at Centennial Park Apartments on Feb. 24.
Christopher Aron, a 39-year-old Kearney man was arrested on the following charges, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Terroristic Threats, 1st Degree False Imprisonment, 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, as well as a Parole detainer.
