GRAND ISLAND – The City of Grand Island, the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation and Central Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center will be hosting the second cohort of the Business Blueprint Workshop Series beginning Thursday, April 2.

The six-week program is designed to support aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs in the skilled trades by providing the tools and foundational knowledge needed to successfully start or grow a business.

The workshop is tailored specifically to individuals working in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related industries.

Participants will receive practical, hands-on instruction in key business areas including business planning, financial management, marketing, operations and real-world applications relevant to trades professionals.

By the conclusion of the series, each participant will have developed a comprehensive business plan and a clear roadmap for future growth.

Individuals who successfully complete the program will be eligible to receive a $3,000 grant to assist with launching or expanding their business. The grant funding is made possible through LB840 funds approved by the Grand Island City Council. Grant dollars may be used for equipment, software, marketing, rental space, licensing or professional services, providing meaningful startup or expansion support for local entrepreneurs.

The second cohort of the Business Blueprint Workshop Series will take place every Thursday from April 2 – May 7 with each session running from 6-8 p.m. at the Central Community College Entrepreneur Center, located at 407 West 3rd Street in Grand Island, Nebraska.
