KEARNEY — A Kearney man facing two counts of sexual assault in Buffalo County has pleaded no contest as part of a plea agreement.
Kenni Munos, 24, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, both a Class 2 felony.
As part of a plea agreement, Munos pleaded no contest to one of the charges while the other was dismissed by the court. A no contest plea is neither an admission nor denial of guilt, but the plea is treated the same as a guilty plea.
A sentencing date has been set for May 19 at 1:30 p.m.
The affidavit for the support of continued detention has been sealed in this case by the court.
However, the complaint states Munos allegedly subjected a 15-year-old individual to sexual penetration on two separate occasions between May 1, 2025, and June 10, 2025.
Munos was booked into the Buffalo County Jail on Tuesday, July 8.
