LEXINGTON — Weather permitting, work will resume on March 30 on U.S. Highway 30 (US-30), from reference post 236.74 to reference post 238.56, and on U.S. Highway 283 (US-283) from reference post 57.70 to reference post 58.56, which includes North Grant Street, East 5th Street, and North Jefferson Street on US-283 to US-30, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Paulsen Inc. of Cozad, is the contractor for this project. Work includes concrete curb repairs, median and cross walk construction, and asphalt paving. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures and flagging operations. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is July 2026.

The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
