GRAND ISLAND – The Grand Island Public Library will be offering two special programs for teens ages 12–18 on upcoming days when Grand Island Public Schools are not in session this spring.

On Friday, April 3, the library will host “Painting with Jill” at 2 p.m. in partnership with Jill Canfield of Arts and Draft. This guided painting class has been a popular offering in the past, giving teens the opportunity to explore their creativity in a fun, supportive environment.

Then on Monday, April 6, the library will offer a basic sewing machine class for teens. Participants will learn fundamental sewing skills while creating their own simple drawstring bag. All supplies will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own sewing machine if preferred.

Space is limited for both programs and advance registration is required. Individuals can register online at https://gilibrary.events.mylibrary.digital/ or call the library during open business hours at (308) 385-5333.

The Grand Island Public Library serves residents of both the City of Grand Island and Hall County. Anyone who lives in or owns property within Hall County may apply for a library card at no cost. You can also stay up-to-date with library hours, programs and services at https://www.gilibrary.org, or follow the library on Facebook and Instagram. Residents can also access their accounts, search the catalog and explore digital collections at https://gilibrary.tlcdelivers.com or by downloading the Grand Island Public Library app.
