Kearney's Hike/Bike Trail near Talmadge St., (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Parks Department would like to inform the public the hike-bike trail, north of the Pizza Ranch, will be closed due to concrete construction.
The work will begin Wednesday, April 1, 2026 and the trail will reopen on or before Thursday, April 9, 2026, weather
permitting.
Citizens are asked to avoid the construction area, utilize an alternate route and obey all traffic control devices related to the trail closure. Trail users should plan to detour and utilize the sidewalks along 3rd Avenue and Talmadge Street to continue access to the hike-bike trail.
