GRAND ISLAND – A free educational estate planning workshop will be offered at the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation.

The workshop will be offered from 11 a.m to noon on Tuesday, April 14, and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.

Participants will learn how to control who gets what, when, and how.

Participants will also learn how to avoid probate and the most common pitfalls associated with estate planning.

Participants will also learn whether a will or trust is right for them, whether a trust should be revocable or irrevocable, and how not to disinherit children and grandchildren because of divorce or other triggering events.

Other topics at the workshop include:

*How to protect your family and loved ones when you no longer can.

*Six strategies for a strong generational wealth management plan.

*How to ensure that beneficiaries get their inheritance without selling assets.
