GRAND ISLAND – Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown is bringing their explosive live show to the Nebraska State Fair, headlining a night of rock music Saturday, Sept. 5 at TD Landing.

The concert is part of the Nebraska Lottery Concert Series during the 2026 Nebraska State Fair and will also feature opening act Dexter and the Moonrocks.

“Our Rock fans continue to show up and have a great time, but they’ve been asking for a bigger show,” said Karli Bartz, Events and Entertainment Director. “Shinedown’s name has come up in guest comments for a couple of years and I’m just as excited as our attendees are knowing we are finally bringing them to the heart of Nebraska.”

Shinedown has cemented its status as one of the most powerful forces in modern rock. The band has amassed more than 8.3 billion global streams, sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, and scored a record-breaking 24 No. 1 rock hits across all charts during their career.

The band continues to make history, ranking as the No. 1 artist on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Mainstream Rock Artists chart after earning the most No. 1 singles in the history of the Mainstream Rock Songs chart, with 22. Mediabase has also cemented Shinedown as the greatest rock band in Active Rock chart history for achieving the most No. 1’s, Top 5’s, and Top 10’s.

Shinedown recently announced their eighth studio album, EI8HT, set for release May 29. The album will feature their newest anthem “Safe and Sound,” along with earlier singles “Searchlight,” “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Three Six Five,” and “Killing Fields.”

Their hit 2025 song “A Symptom of Being Human” from the band’s seventh studio album Planet Zero has earned nearly 125 million global streams and charted across five radio formats, including No. 1 at Active Rock and Top 10 placements at Alternative and Adult Contemporary formats.

Hailed for their high-energy live shows, thought-provoking lyrics, and melodic rock sound, Shinedown continues to connect with audiences around the world. The band is led by frontman Brent Smith alongside guitarist Zach Myers, bassist and producer Eric Bass, and drummer Barry Kerch.

The concert will take place Saturday, Sept. 5 at TD Landing during the Nebraska State Fair.

General admission tickets are $85. Pit tickets are $95 and VIP tickets are $115. Advance tickets include gate admission to the Nebraska State Fair.

The Nebraska Lottery Concert Series will feature two previously announced indoor shows in the Heartland Events Center, Christian star Phil Wickham with Jamie MacDonald on Sunday, Aug. 30, and the Older Nebraskans Day guest KC & The Sunshine Band on Monday, Aug. 31. Shinedown joins the previously announced outdoor show at TD Landing HARDY with McCoy Moore, Sunday, Sept. 6, as well as one more show yet to be announced.
