LINCOLN – The Nebraska and Cincinnati Football programs have rescheduled their previously agreed football series that was originally set in 2020, according to a report from FBSchedules.com.
The Huskers and Bearcats were to begin a home-and-home football series in Lincoln at Memorial Stadium in late September, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and change from the Big Ten conference to adjust to a conference only-schedule, the game was not played.
The final game of the series was scheduled, however, to be played in Cincinnati on Sept. 13, 2025.
However, according to a state public records document, both schools have agreed to reschedule both games of the series – including a change to Cincinnati’s home game.
Per the recorded document, Cincinnati will host the first game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. on Aug. 30, 2025. The contest will be the season opener for both programs.
The rescheduled series would however return to Lincoln, Neb. as the Huskers would host the Bearcats on Sept. 11, 2032.
