MINDEN — A Minden woman died as the result of a one vehicle accident north of Minden during the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 1.
At 9:45 a.m., the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a one-vehicle accident with injuries near the intersection of County Road R and 31 Road.
A 2003 PT Cruiser driven by Nicholas Bailey, 29, of Minden a was southbound on 31 Road when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the west ditch.
The vehicle rolled over and struck a utility pole. Katherine Nuttelman, 41, of Minden was the passenger and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Bailey was transported to the Kearney County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Bailey’s seatbelt was in use at the time of the accident, Nuttelman’s was not.
The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office and the Kearney County Attorney are investigating the accident. Assistance was provided by the Minden Police Department and the Minden Fire Department.
