KEARNEY — An Omaha man was killed as the result of an accident on Interstate 80 near Kearney on Friday, Nov. 3.
Around 3 p.m., the Nebraska State Patrol was alerted to a two-vehicle accident on I-80, near mile marker 261, west of Kearney, according to Cody Thomas, Public Relations Director with NSP.
A preliminary investigation shows that an eastbound Ford F-150 crossed the median and struck a semi-truck that was westbound.
Both drivers were transported to CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.
The driver of the F-150, Arthur Rivera, 63, of Omaha was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver of semi is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
