BUFFALO CO. – Families and kids have an opportunity to come out this weekend for a trout fishing clinic.
Fishing clinics will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 and Sunday, Nov. 12. at Windmill SRA Lake 2 in Gibbon, and Fort Kearney SRA Lake 6 in Kearney.
The Community Fishing Nebraska Trailer will be on site at both locations and provide fishing equipment and bait.
One clinic will be on Saturday at Windmill SRA from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and then one on Sunday at Fort Kearny SRA from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Fish have been released at both lake locations.
Folks are asked to bring ice and zip lock bags if they plan to keep their catch. Five fish per Fisher is the limit.
Certified fishing instructors will also be available on site.
A park entry permit is required to visit state parks and can be purchased at the park, statewide Game and Parks offices and permit vendors, or in advance of your arrival online.
