Husker Football Practice Comments // NRG CNT

LINCOLN – Nebraska’s coordinators – Tony White and Marcus Satterfield – addressed the media highlighting stronger defensive play, quarterback injuries and repetitions, and previewing Wisconsin.

NEBRASKA FOOTBALL TUESDAY PRACTICE COMMENTS – COORDINATORS:

WHITE – MUST RESPECT WISCONSIN’S RUN GAME:

The Nebraska Football team battles a tough Wisconsin team on Saturday, traveling to Camp Randall Stadium. Defensive Coordinator Tony White isn’t fooled by the new-look Badgers, saying it is much the same from Wisconsin…

The Huskers are allowing less than 80 yards rushing per contest, and held Maryland without a rushing yard through nearly three quarters of play against the Terrapins.

WHITE – DEFENSE VIBE SHOWCASED IMPROVEMENT FROM SPARTY:

Nebraska Football showcased internal improvement defensively from the Michigan State to the Maryland contest, and defensive coordinator Tony White shared during his Tuesday press conference that he knew before the game kicked off…

The Huskers hope to keep that defensive effort moving forward traveling to Wisconsin on Saturday.

WHITE – OMAR BROWN SHINING AS A PLAYMAKER:

Tony White, Nebraska defensive coordinator, spoke highly of the playmaking ability of defensive back Omar Brown from Saturday’s contest…

The Northern Iowa transfer has forty-six tackles and four forced turnovers on the season for the Blackshirts.

SATTERFIELD – QUARTERBACK REPS IN TUESDAY PRACTICE:

Nebraska offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield gave an update on his team’s quarterback injuries, and how practice time is being shared with limited signal callers…

Haarberg has started the past eight contests since taking over for an injured Jeff Sims, but did not appear back in the contest against Maryland with an ankle injury.

SATTERFIELD – PURDY IMPRESSIVE WITH LIMITED REPS:

Husker Football’s offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield had high praise for reserve quarterback Chubba Purdy as the signal caller arrived in a dire situation for the Huskers last week against Maryland…

Purdy led the Huskers to inside the Terrapin five yard line, ultimately throwing an interception on third and goal that led to Maryland’s game winning drive.

SATTERFIELD – OFFENSE’S HARD WORK WILL PAY OFF:

Nebraska offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield remains positive with his young team’s improvement despite the results over the past season of play from the Big Red…

Satterfield added that the team’s work ethic will lead to stronger offensive play down the line.
