GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man has been arrested for possession of stolen tools from a Lexington burglary, along with a small amount of methamphetamine.
On Monday, Dec. 4, at 2:35 p.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department executed a search warrant at 1414 St. Paul Road in reference to stolen property.
During the execution of the warrant, Dairon Rodriguez was contacted and admitted to flushing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia down the toilet, according to police.
Rodriguez was only partially successful as a small amount of methamphetamine and the pipes were found in the toilet.
Police also located stolen tools from a Lexington burglary were located within the house. The value of the tools recovered from this warrant and a prior incident were valued at more than $5,000.
Police say Rodriguez has previously listed some stolen tools on his social media account in an attempt to sell them.
Rodriguez was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
He was booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections at 4:57 p.m.
