Several area cities declared a snow emergency due to the winter conditions. Cities that announced a snow emergency include, Kearney, Grand Island, Hastings. As a reminder residents should move their vehicle if parked along an emergency snow routes. Some vehicles left could be subject to a ticket or towed.
The Buffalo County Courthouse is opening at a late start today at noon.
The City of Kearney offices are still closed today including, the Kearney Public Library, Kearney Police Department Front Desk, and Peterson Senior Activity Center in observance of the Christmas holiday. All offices will reopen Wednesday, December 27.
