TUSCALOOSA, ALAB. – One of the most successful coaches in college football history has decided to hang up the whistle.

Legendary Alabama head coach Nick Saban is retiring, per ESPN. During his college football tenure, Saban earned seven national championships: first with the LSU Tigers in 2003 during the BCS era, then collecting his next six rings with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020.

He ends his college football tenure at 292-71-1, including stints with Toledo in 1990, Michigan State from 1995-99, LSU from 2000-2004, a brief stint with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins from 2005-2006, and finishing his most productive tenure with the Crimson Tide from 2007-2023.

Saban ends as the 15th winningest coach in college football history with 28 years of coaching.
