WILCOX — An autopsy has been ordered to identify and determine the cause of death of the individual who died in a trailer fire in Wilcox on Tuesday.
At 2:47 p.m., the Wilcox Fire Department was dispatched to 309 E. Franklin St. regarding a structure fire.
Mutual aid was called for from the Minden, Axtell and Hildreth fire departments.
After containing the fire, a body was discovered inside the trailer. The Nebraska State Fire Marshal and Kearney County Attorney’s Office is conducting the investigation, and an autopsy has been ordered.
No foul play is suspected at this time.
The Wilcox Fire Department was assisted by the agencies listed above and the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office.
