JOHNSON LAKE — The adult male who was found deceased after a fire occurred at a residence at Lakeside Trailer Court at Johnson Lake on Wednesday, Feb. 7 has been identified.
The Gosper County Sheriff Office stated that the victim had been identified as Roger E. Portillo Estrada, 57, who was a Gosper County resident living at #3 Lakeside Trailer Court.
Around 4:11 p.m., the Gosper County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the trailer court in reference to a check welfare call for service.
Upon arriving at the scene, Sheriff Jesse Naputi discovered that the residence had recently been involved in a fire. He gained access to the residence and discovered Estrada deceased inside.
The State Fire Marshall’s Office is assisting with the fire and death investigation. An autopsy is being conducted.
