Hastings College (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
HASTINGS — The Hastings College Theatre production of “She Kills Monsters” is a play about stories. Stories we create. Stories we tell. Stories we share.
Poster with hand drawn monsters promoting a theatre production. After her sister Tilly dies in a car accident, Agnes dedicates herself to learning Tilly’s story. She finds a notebook with ideas for a game of Dungeons & Dragons that Tilly created. With the help of some of Tilly’s adventuring party, Agnes embarks on a quest in the game and in her own life to better understand her sister. Agnes’ journey is one filled with daring action, comedic misfires, dangerous foes and unexpected allies. As she searches for clues about her sister, Agnes finds something she didn’t know she needed: a found family to share her story with.
