ATKINSON — The Team Jack Foundation is inviting runners, walkers, and supporters from across the country to lace up for the 6th Annual Miles for Team Jack Virtual Miles Challenge, taking place throughout September in honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

In partnership with Fleet Feet stores in Lincoln and Omaha, this month-long event encourages participants to set a personal mileage goal—whether walking or running—and log their progress all month long. Registration is just $30 per person, with the option to join as an individual or create/join a team for extra motivation and a little friendly competition.

Fun incentives and big prizes will be part of the journey, thanks to generous sponsors Applied Connective Technologies and HOKA:
• Sign up by September 1 to receive a FREE event t-shirt.
• Refer friends for entries to win Apple AirPods – winner announced September 1.
• Weekly HOKA prize bundles awarded throughout September.
• Team challenge for total mileage bragging rights and traveling trophy.

Since its inception, Miles for Team Jack has raised nearly $115,000 to fund childhood brain cancer research, helping to drive the development of safer, more effective treatments for kids battling this devastating disease.

“Miles for Team Jack is about more than just miles,” said Kylie Dockter, Team Jack Foundation Executive Director. “Every step we take together brings us closer to a cure for childhood brain cancer.”

About Team Jack Foundation
The Team Jack Foundation’s mission is to raise research funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer. Each year less than four percent of U.S. federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research, with even less spent on child brain cancer research. The Team Jack Foundation has raised over $15 million for research and has invested in twenty projects nationally. One area of focus for the Foundation is the development of a childhood brain tumor program in Omaha, Nebraska. Team Jack has committed $6.5 million toward the program at UNMC and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center to ensure children in the region have access to the best treatments available. The Foundation will continue working with world-renowned researchers, directly, to develop relevant and impactful research initiatives. https://teamjackfoundation.org/
